exhibits from a new museum
“you are a good storyteller. I love the deep sound of your voice,
and the ethnic touch in your music. It moves me”.
“You were splendid what a range,
Choir boy to Paul Robeson”
“It was fantastic, an absolute blast”
“Thank you EB for a lovely concert in Norway”.
“A briiliant night with some old songs and some great new ones. Edgar still plays with energy and soul and every one Ive spoken to,
who was there, really enjoyed it. We all had time to chat with Edgar and we were all impressed of how easy it was to talk to this very
intelligent man discussing many topics”.
“What a night. Edgar Broughton playing at the bottom of my garden, I was on cloud nine. Not only was Edgar's performance brilliant and moving, his friendliness to us all before and after the gig was equally brilliant. If any of you Edgar Broughton fans out there have been thinking of engaging him stop thinking about it and do it. You won't regret it, this has to be the best days pay I've ever spent”.
“You are singing better than ever. Absolutely beautiful”.
“Just want to thank you for that you have understand it, and can give it to us in such a beautiful way”. Its a long time since I have listened to music like this.”
“I enjoyed the blog almost as much as your gig. It was great having you stay with us at "Nightingails" and share Gail's birthday buffet. Thanks again for the great gig. The look of utter amazement on Gail's face when you turned round to say hello will be with me always”.
“Just to say thanks again for the fantastic gig back in
October, I will never forget it”.
I always loved the man’s songs but the utterly moving and surprising performance
at our house was simply stunning. The females shed a tear or two and so did I. The
guy is a natural story teller and a deeply interesting person.
Thank you so much Edgar. Two days later and I am still buzzing from such a great
night. Not just because of your songs and stories - I could rave on about the music,
but even more so because you brought so many other refreshing things with you (including
Dave!). Humour, stimulating conversation, a warm attitude and much more that I could
go on about. All of my friends without exception loved it and I have to say to anyone
who is reading this, if you're lucky enough to be in the position to invite Edgar
round, do not hesitate, just get on with it.
